Yutong takes the crown! Haige BYD fights for second place! May new energy bus export rankings are out!
Bus exports are as hot as the weather now, but new energy bus exports are affected by the international
storm clouds, there is a short "double decline".
According to the latest data from China Bus Statistics Information Network, in May 2024, China's new
energy buses (more than 3.5 metres) exported 972 units, a year-on-year decline of 32.12%, compared
with a decline of 2.02%.
Specifically, in May, Yutong Bus exported 294 new energy buses, a year-on-year increase of 539.13%,
year-on-year increase of 44.83%, a market share of 30.25% of the results to regain first place, compared
with April to improve nearly 10 percentage points.
Suzhou Kinglong (Haige Bus) ranked second, with export sales of 198 new energy buses, up 153.85%
year-on-year and 43.48% year-on-year, with a market share of 20.37%, up nearly 7 percentage points
compared to April.The third place is BYD, new energy bus export sales of 172 units, market share of 17.70%.
Among the top ten enterprises, four achieved year-on-year growth, of which Weichai Yashang had the highest
increase of 2,400.00 per cent. The year-on-year increase doubled also Yutong Bus (539.13%) and Suzhou Jinlong
(Haige Bus 153.85%). There are five companies that achieved growth YoY, including Yaxing Bus with the highest
increase of 716.67%. The only companies that achieved double year-on-year growth were Yutong Bus, Suzhou
Jinlong (Haige Bus) and Weichai Yashang.
However, the industry concentration of new energy bus exports is very high, the top 4 enterprises accounted for
81.49%, while tied for the ninth enterprise, single-month sales of only 11 units.
